Lost phone? Do you think it's true?

Hi, I%26#039;m from Europe, a friend of mine is just back in the USA and she told me she lost her cell phone. 4 days have gone bye since it happened, I have just tried to call her, the phone was ringing but someone put down. I just would like to know how it works in the USA, because in my country when you lose the cell phone you just call the phone company that blocks your number to give it back to you. So you just need to buy another phone. Is it the same thing in the USA? Is it possible that after 4 days I call and no one answers? Does she need to change her phone numebr? Or she just doesn%26#039;t wanna talk to me anymore?|||both are possible.. first she should report the loss but they would go about just terminating her original contract number mattering on the company and giving her a new number.. its just that easy for most places.. but in this case id say she doesnt want to talk with you.. and is hoping you wont call anymore..

as its a cellphone there is no real way to tell which is the truth.. unless you know another american to dial the number and your friend gets curious about the new number that calls..|||O I think she is trying to ignore you. Coz thats how americans are :||||They program the phones at the source of the service. If she changes phones, they will terminate the connection to the old phone and re-establish with the new one. And her number will not change. The old phone will still be at risk of compromise for all her personal information such as phone contacts, calendar entries, etc, but it will be effectively cut from the provider.|||she can EASILY get the number transferred to the new phone.|||Usually in the USA if you LOSE your phone and you can%26#039;t find it, you%26#039;ll have to contact your cell phone providers, and they will send you a new phone, or you just go to the store and get a new one. Most times, you don%26#039;t need to change your cell phone number, that never really happens unless you get a whole bunch of callers and stuff. Sometimes if the phone is being sent through the mail, it could take a few days...

So maybe her phone hasn%26#039;t come yet?

Give it about 3 more days and try again,

and keep trying if she doesn%26#039;t answer.

Good Luck.|||Yes you can call the cell phone company to report a lost phone. Either someone stole her phone, or she doesn%26#039;t want to talk with you. Some women here are like that. They are afraid to tell you the truth, so they just make up a story.

But people lose cell phones all the time too, so it is hard to say. Can you email her?|||She does not want you calling her any more.

Remember this basic rule, which holds true in ALL cases of everything: when someone gives you a reason for something, it%26#039;s not the real reason, just an excuse they think you will accept. They do not want to give you the real reason, so they make up a socially acceptable excuse. This rule holds true in every situation you will ever encounter in your entire lifetime.

So the next time some one gives you a reason for something (%26quot;I can%26#039;t answer my phone because I lost it%26quot;) that%26#039;s not the real reason, it%26#039;s just an excuse they think you will believe. The real reason is something else they do not want to divulge to you.
