DID YOU KNOW FACEBOOK is showing all of our phone numbers? OMG?

ALL FRIENDS: Your phone numbers are listed in FB for everyone to

see. Wanna see? Click Account, then Edit Friends. On the left side, click on phonebook. I just checked it myself and have everyone%26#039;s mobile and land phone number. TO CORRECT THIS - go to Account, then Privacy Settings, OMG, what a bunch of jerks, I say someone needs to SUE THEIR ***... HOW CAN THEY make this info public.. I mean cell phones numbers are not available like land lines are IM PISSED OFF!! I saw all of my gamers friends cell phone numbers.. so did everyone else.. have a look and better change it!!|||Who you gonna blame? YOU activated it!|||You chose to put your number on Facebook. You should NEVER put ANYTHING on the Internet that you don%26#039;t want other people to have access to. That was your own mistake.|||Wow that%26#039;s ridiculous!|||Not every ones number. If you have your facebook connected through text messaging, then yes your number is showing.|||Just wondering, who didn%26#039;t know this?|||are they your friends? because you can share your phone numbers with your friends. so, they%26#039;re probably sharing them with you, or the public, or whatever. its their/your fault for putting your cell number into the website.|||They put the phone numbers into so that only their friends can see their numbers. They CAN control who sees them. They%26#039;re not that stupid.|||yeah some creepy pervert called me from FB I had to delete him from my friends.|||you sound really surprised. Of course they have that, Its called a phone book of all your friends. Only you can see it if their your friends and If you don%26#039;t want other people to see ur # then at the beginning you shouldn%26#039;t of put your number when u registered. :)|||Chill. Your phone number is only shown if you entered it into your Facebook profile in the first place. They do not somehow figure out what your phone number is and add it.

So if you never gave Facebook your number, nobody will see it. But if you DID enter it, and you want to make sure nobody sees it, then yes, go into privacy settings and make it not visible to anyone, or just delete it from your profile.|||This is purely optional and you have to actually give FB your number (which is not required) for it to happen. Quit your inane whining and actually learn about this stuff before shoving all of your poersonal information into your profile.|||OMG, did anybody ever expect to post stuff on a social site and actually expect it to be secure ?

Facebook CEO`s IMs were posted online back when he was still in college. In these IMs he was offering to provide whatever info his buddy was interested in on anyone in college who used hi site...

Facebook is a social site ON THE WEB not a bank or a hospital.

Here is a suggestion:

If you don%26#039;t want your info out in the open, don%26#039;t post on social sites ( it is really no surprise to me that these facebook clowns release that info). Exactly the reason that most of IT guys do not use these crappy sites. Then there is that: common sense.

Good Luck!|||Are you new to Facebook? They%26#039;ve had this thing called Privacy Settings that you can change to adjust for it. Also, The numbers are made public because they set it so.

If someone willingly shows their phone number in the Internet with consent, why would they sue someone like that? It%26#039;s like the public suing the phone book industry.|||No they arent, its because you have it set like that. It isint automatically set like that, you changed it to show that.
