When i was younger, i'd used to be able to call (test) the home phone ringer by dail something like 991 or 119 or something like that, and then i hangup the phone. 3 seconds later the phone rings.

How to handle when your husband gives out his phone number to a woman in front of you when he is drunk?
I've been married for the last 9 years. Pretty happy all around. My husband is a wonderful person and I am happy to be married to him - most of the time. I view a problem to be is that he likes to binge drink when he is with his friends. He is 44 years old and doesn't have an off valve. When he passes the point of no return he can turn very mean vocally to me. He doesn't remember much the next day. Last Friday we went out with some friends. We all had a great time and my husband and I even connected again. By the end of the night it all changed. He is so drunk leaning against the bar and is openly flirting with a woman with his eyes. I see that he is writing out his phone number on a piece of paper and she is putting the number into her phone. When confronted he lies, then admits and then gets mean and then thinks I am blowing it out of proportion. He said that he would never act on it. His drunk and mean behavior is sometimes heard by our 6 year old daughter. Your situation doesn't SEEM that bad (it's just a guy getting drunk and losing a bit of control, right?), yet everyone here is telling you to take such drastic measures. Divorce. Joining an alcoholics program. These answers are so easy to type but so devastatingly difficult in real life.

Do not be afraid of the possibility of losing him. Do not be afraid of how a divorce will affect your daughter -- because if divorce is indeed the right decision, then having him as a dad will be worse for her.
Try very hard to be %26quot;at peace%26quot; with the possibility of divorce. This will allow you to think clearly and approach him the right way -- and approach him you must. Do it when he is sober and happy. You must be non-threatening, non-assuming,
do not make him feel like he is cornered (which will happen is if he sees your tension). You must be brave, calm, and matter-of-fact when you seek out the truth. What truth am I talking about? You must find out if he still loves you.
I don't advise divorcing him simply because he gave a woman his phone number. But you should be very concerned... it is a big deal because it (in addition to his reaction) hints that you are just seeing the tip of the iceberg of future problems.
Your decision on whether to pursue divorce or the alcoholism program will depend on how your conversation with him goes.... will depend on if he loves you enough to give you what you need... which is to be able to trust him.

I am a firm believer that every woman as the God Given right to be treated with respect. Whether alcohol is a factor or not, what he did is inexcusable. How do you handle it? You don't! You give him the ultimatums of sobering up and respectful treatment. If he doesn't comply, you start fresh in life.

Your situation doesn't SEEM that bad (it's just a guy getting drunk and losing a bit of control, right?), yet everyone here is telling you to take such drastic measures. Divorce. Joining an alcoholics program. These answers are so easy to type but so devastatingly difficult in real life.
My answers is this:
Do not be afraid of the possibility of losing him. Do not be afraid of how a divorce will affect your daughter -- because if divorce is indeed the right decision, then having him as a dad will be worse for her.
Try very hard to be %26quot;at peace%26quot; with the possibility of divorce. This will allow you to think clearly and approach him the right way -- and approach him you must. Do it when he is sober and happy. You must be non-threatening, non-assuming,
do not make him feel like he is cornered (which will happen is if he sees your tension). You must be brave, calm, and matter-of-fact when you seek out the truth. What truth am I talking about? You must find out if he still loves you.
I don't advise divorcing him simply because he gave a woman his phone number. But you should be very concerned... it is a big deal because it (in addition to his reaction) hints that you are just seeing the tip of the iceberg of future problems.
Your decision on whether to pursue divorce or the alcoholism program will depend on how your conversation with him goes.... will depend on if he loves you enough to give you what you need... which is to be able to trust him.

okie.....I have signed up for my avon representative in my area, I emailed her asking questions, and ask to send a catalog. It's been 2 weeks now that she did not answer me at all. Some phones have an option called a rejection list. It would be under call settings if you have this option. You would simply add the number to the rejection list and the call or text wouldn't go through. Actually the caller just goes straight to voice mail.
If you do not have the rejection list, then assign a silent ringtone to the person. That way the person calls, you won't hear them calling. You can just ignore the call.java with itchy pubic hair

your hidden battery reserve might of worked for one specific phone, but, cell phones don't carry a reserve power...period. that code might have possibly told one phone to cut it's power output to a power-saving level, but it's in no way standard. since cell phones are in communication with the network even when idle, the less power transmission, the more battery life....this is why if you have a good signal strength all the time, your charge will last longer...i practically live under my cell tower and i constantly get standby times more than the manual lists.

Help! I'm being harassed by someone over the phone. They block their number. Anything I can do?
I've changed my phone number over this person several times and they some how keep getting my new phone number every time. They use a disguised Indian voice-it's obvious. They say weird things like I'm being arrested and mention people I used to know years ago. I have not gotten those phone calls for almost a year. Then they called me two days ago starting up again. This time impersonating my bank asking for my balance to be paid. They were $54.00 off and my bank said I can pay at the branch. This person asked for everything: address, account #, bank name. I hung up the phone when they asked for my bank name because I thought that was strange.
My bank said if they were a collection agency of theirs then they would not ask for those three things. They would ask for a reference number. It's the same disguised voice every time under a different thing. It sounds like a tape recorder used for these calls because they never answer your questions. I asked for their phone number and who they are, but they won't answer you. They just keep talking over you until you hang up. They call sparatically every day for the last 30 days. Its starting to freak me out because this time of how they are impersonating my bank and know everything about me. It's like they wait until they know something new about me before they call again and impersonate something in my life or use threats. However, because I recognize the voice now I know it's b.s. Yet it's starting to scare me. Could it be someone I know?

Just a few points to clarify. Child support has been arranged through the proper legal channels but he has not paid it. He quit his job and went on income assistance so that the payments would be suspended. (he has a medical ailment that he 'uses' when needed) As far as I know, he's working under the table not to show any income. (He's moved to another province so I'm not 100% sure) I wanted to get across that I do not use this lack of support as a lever for him to see the kids. I know he should be paying.
My other point is that I have told my kids that their Dad is sick with a disease called alcoholism. I tell them that he makes decisions that I don't understand. I tell them they are very lovable and they are definitely not the reason he's not calling or visiting. Of course, if any of these little tidbits are repeated to him, he tells the kids that I'm lying and that I'm just saying these things to make the kids hate him. He berates me for not allowing them to call him on his birthday and he doesn't believe me when I tell him that they never asked! After all, he has only called on our oldest's birthday once in 5 years!! No calls at Christmas, NOTHING!
Sometimes one can get fed up with taking that higher ground and trying to be the bigger person. I feel sorry for him as he's missing out on 3 wonderful kids that, regardless what he has done, still love him unconditionally, which he certainly doesn't deserve. I've had friends say 'change your phone number' and just forget about him but I know how disrespectful this is to the children. As a Mom, I want to protect them as much as possible and I feel like either avenue I choose to take is damaging to them.
BTW, my fiance is a wonderful Dad to them and wants to adopt them. Is it possible without the biological's father permission? (He would not give it out of spite alone.) No doubt, you're in a tough situation and have a clear understanding of the word %26quot;love%26quot;... it's supposed to be unconditionall, unfortunately most people don't get it. I still have to stand by previous advice... take the high road, even though you're fed up and it's a lonely road to follow, it sets the best example for all those concerned. Having said that, don't allow yourself to become a doormat either. Set the limits you deem appropriate, and document everything. Never speak badly of him to your children, he's half of who they are. It's obvious to me that you're a good person. You simply have no control over your ex, or anyone else for that matter, only yourself.

My other point is that I have told my kids that their Dad is sick with a disease called alcoholism. I tell them that he makes decisions that I don't understand. I tell them they are very lovable and they are definitely not the reason he's not calling or visiting. Of course, if any of these little tidbits are repeated to him, he tells the kids that I'm lying and that I'm just saying these things to make the kids hate him. Yes cricket advertises unlimited this and unlimited that but they charge for everything else. EVEN FOR PAYING BILL IN STORE, you pay $3 in store fee. This is not a joke. I have been receiving numerous calls from an 866 number that has no real person on the other end. All the machine does is keep asking for my Social Security number. There is no way to get to a real person. I get several calls per day, including at night while I am asleep. I turn off my phone, and they send some sort of signal to my phone that turns it on. Then it beeps at me all night, keeping me awake.

this number is unique to your phone/handset
write it down and keep it safe.
when your phone gets stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code.

It is normally the PPSA which covers the area in which you live. Your local PCT should be able to let you have the phone number - ask for the primary care department. If you have already changed GPs then I think that the new medical cards will come from them automatically.
