If your telephone is analog it will ring at least three times.How do you call your own house phone using the same phone?i was trying to figure out the same thing but i could swear the number was some thing like your area code+ 555-5555 then you wait for the noise then you put in your own number

How do you call your own house phone using the same phone?If you have multiple phones in your house working on 1 number, you will not be able to ring the other phones by dialling your number. However you would still be able to talk to someone in the bedroom when your in the sitting room for e.g. Just pick up both the receivers.Offcourse if you have multiple phones with two or more numbers in you house, you can make a normal phone call to that phone like you would do to any phone.
Just make sure you don't call 911 accidently!!It used to be 711. I'm in Texas and in my early thirties-so it wasn't that long ago guys. But you can't dial 711 anymore. Also used to be able to dial 259-and the number but that stopped a couple of years ago. Don't know why and don't know another number, but let me know if you find out!!i dont think you can call your own phone from the phone because you are engaging the phone by picking it up. why would you try to call yourself anyway?? if its that important, i think you can call like the operator and they will ring you back?! like a wake up call?!NOOOO you cannot. If you will dial your own number using the same phone, it will give you a busy tone only.

Every city had it's own numeric code. Nowadays, if an installer needs a callback. he asks the test board to call him back, or uses his cell phone, or clips on to another 'pair' at a terminal locally near your building. Unnecessary.all you have to do is dial the number and it will call
also if you are calling to check messages if you want to not take the time to see if you have them you press 9 and see is the dial tone changes
