How do you block someone from tapping your phone?

i believe someone is tapping my phone how do i stop it doi change my number or what? because everytime im on the phone it sometimes echoes everything i say and the person im talkin to cant hardly hear me is someone tapping it?How do you block someone from tapping your phone?the echo has nothing to do with your line being tapped... if your line was tapped you would not be able to hear anything diffrent on your line, and changing your number would not do anything to stop the line from being tapped, if it infact was..

most of the time echo on a phone is due to poorly manufactured phones.. they can produce an echo or tinny sound... it can also be that the volume on the phone is set too high, and it is getting feed back, if there is a volume setting on your phone try lowering it and see if that resolves your problem... if not try with another phone and see if that resolves your problem.. if neither one of these resolves the problem, call your local phone provider, as they would be able to run a line test and determine if there are any troubles on your line..

There are laws to prevent a random person from tapping into your line and listening and/or recording your phone calls.

However, police officials, prosecutors, FBI, etc...can obtain subpoenas and tap phone calls when there is a legal cause. In this case you would not know that you are being tapped, and you would not be able to prevent it...even changing your number would not stop the tap.

It is most likely a problem in your phone, or your phone line. If you hear the echo in all of your phones you should report the problem to your phone company.

Don't tell them you think you are being wire-tapped.

echo is a product of %26quot;slippage%26quot; in the network. It is caused when there is a syncronization problem. Land line line calls do not suffer slippage until the call starts going long distance or is a VoIP call.

As for preventing , there is no way to PREVENT someone if they are determined to tap your phone. Detection requires a working knowledge of how the public switched phone network works and a source of testing equipment.

%26quot;but detectors%26quot; are over rated. To properly test for %26quot;bugs%26quot; requires some serious test equipment.
i would get that when i lived in hawaii and tghe land line had to go across the ocean. if its the cell phone could be a signal problem but if this is a land line and you think your being taped they do sell devices that can tell you if the line is secure or not. just do a search for %26quot;phone tap detectors%26quot;. by now im sure there are also cell detectors too
