Here is how to disable a stolen mobile phone?

to check your mobile phones serial number.

key in the following digits on your phone *#06#

afifteen digit code will appear on the screen.

this number is unique to your phone/handset

write it down and keep it safe.

when your phone gets stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code.

they can then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone wll be totally useless. you probably wont get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it cant use/sell it either.

if everybody done this, there would be no pointin people stealing mobile phonesHere is how to disable a stolen mobile phone?Cheers for the info Chris.

Thats very useful info, thanks for that.
AND if you go to 'immobalise.com'

and give them your 15 digit no.

they will be able to block it and the police will know were the phone came from if found so that you can get it back.

and its free.
thanks Chris
Thats brilliant info, thanks for sharing! :O)
Cheers babes, i was looking for that after hearing it on a programme last week
The info you gave is correct, but you dont need to keep the number. The network provider will have it on record anyway.

This doesn't work if the phones are taken abroad, it only works in the country of origin.
Thanks for sharing.
