How do you remove your cellphone number from an AOL AIM screen name that you no longer have?

I'm confused as to what to do. Let me explain. I had an old screen name on AOL that was TOS'd in late 2008. I also had this screen name connected to my cellphone number through AOL Mobile, so friends on AOL could message me to my phone while I was offline. However, even though the screen name no longer exists, people can still see the name on their Buddy Lists and still send messages through their phone. I think this is a flaw on AOL's part -- they should have the link cut off with the phone number as soon as the screen name stops functioning.

Anyway, this psychotic loser IM's me every single day, asking me the same stupid questions. I've asked him nicely to stop IM'ing me every single day. Yet he keeps doing it. Now I'd like to know how to block him. I can't do it through AOL since that screen name can't be accessed. I've had this phone # since 2004 and I refuse to change it over one nutcase IMing me.

I don't know if this issue can be dealt with through my phone company (Sprint) or AOL. I don't even know how to get in touch with AOL since you have to be a paying customer to use their customer service. How do you remove your cellphone number from an AOL AIM screen name that you no longer have? That has to be a glitch.

Well, when you IM someone through text you get a certain code # %26quot;9208%26quot; or whatever it is.

So you can ask your cell phone provider to block that # that shows up when he texts you, that is the only solution.
