How to stop scammer from calling cell phone without changing your number?

The same number keeps calling my cell, every single day for 4 months now.

I answered twice. They say they are a debt collector %26quot;NCO Debt Collectors%26quot; (I'm not in debt) and when I asked who are you calling for they said Mrs. Smith (not my name)

When I told them I'd report them for fraud if they didn't stop calling, the woman actually laughed..

I was thinking of giving them false information. Just so they get in trouble legally and stop harassing me and not scam anyone else.

My cell phone carrier says they can't block any numbers but I can change mine. can anything be done to stop them from calling or to report them for fraud? How to stop scammer from calling cell phone without changing your number?Take their # and ask for company name and the name of the caller. Then you call your Atty Generals office and report them. They have to decess calling you the very first time you tell them.If they persist they are going against the law..You can then put a call block on your cell phone and also your home phone# if you have one..I'll give you the # in a minute..I was a manager for a major bank for their collections dept..good luck

tell them you are going to call the police and give them their number and file a report for harassment. it is illegal for them to call and harass you.

All of these options have cons, but at least try one of them.

1. Change your phone number, and tell your friends your new number (Not what you're asking for)

2. Give someone else your phone so they can have the pain (You don't longer have your cell phone)

3. Rick Roll them, put on that song from Rick Astley on the speaker

4. Give your cell phone to Ms. Smith and let her handle it (Best idea i can think of)

5. Say %26quot;F**k you%26quot; and hang up.
What I have tried to do is this. When you look at your incoming caller's

number and it is unknown to you..don't answer.Sounds simple enough

and it works.I know that is how some good people make their living as

tele-marketers.They use to make me NUTS!
It's impossible to have these calls stopped unfortunately. Most of these calls because the number that shows up on your cell phone in most cases are a 2nd or 3rd party phone number.

The best advice I can give is if a call comes Thur your cell:0000,unavailable, private, etc. do not answer it.

There are people out there that pay very good money to get there hands cell numbers- as well as home numbers.

These people are on top of it. And the people who lose are us.

Hope this helps.
